Leg 5 - Swim 2.5 km
The 2nd swim leg commences from the transition area just above the beach at South Tyrolean Cove.
After being tagged by the mountain biker and cleared to start by the timing officials, swimmers must first run 40 metres down to the beach and out to the water.
Head out around the rocky point to your left as you swim out from the beach. Head to your left (south), keeping the first swim buoy to your right shoulder.
Enter Copper Tom Reach, and turn around the 2nd swim buoy, again with the buoy to your right shoulder, now swimming back towards the north.

As you pass around the headland to your left, turn to your left around the final swim buoy with the buoy to your left shoulder, and head in to the finish on the beach at Stinky Bay.
