Sri Chinmoy Joyathon Course Description

Swim
- Starts on the beach at the eastern end of Yarralumla Bay. The swim course follows a wide anti-clockwise arc back to the beach, keeping the buoys to your left. Swimmers exit the water and run up the beach, following the chute under the trees to the changeover at the bike compound.

Cycle
- The 6 km cycle course is two loops of a 4 km out-and-back course along Alexandrina Dr, from Yarralumla Bay to the Yacht Club and returning. The road will be closed to traffic. Keep to the left at all times.

Run
- The run exits the western end of the Bike Compound along Alexandrina Dr, in the left-hand lane, which will be closed to traffic. After about 30m, make a left-hand turn onto the grass. Turn right onto the cycle path. After crossing a small bridge, veer left onto a trail and head uphill. After passing through the trees, turn right and run downhill. Turn left onto the cycle path. Cross another small bridge and turn left again.

At the end of the cycle path, turn right onto the grass, and run around the edge of the park. Turn right onto the cycle path before Alexandrina Dr. After 100m or so, take the cycle path exit onto Alexandrina Dr, and head back towards the Bike Compound. Stay in the right-hand lane, which is closed to traffic. Turn left at the carpark and run down into the finish chute.
