Dear Runners,

This year (2014) I’ll be providing physiotherapy treatment during the 12 and 24 hour races. I’ll be equipped to treat your aches and pains from about 8pm to 2am. Having completed the Northface100 and GNW 100Miler in 2013 I’m no stranger to the challenges of going ultra.
Services include:
•    Massage – nothing over the top – just enough to keep you going.
•    Diagnosis of injury (telling you to stop running is the last resort)
•    Spinal adjustments (lower and middle back)
•    Strategies to help manage injuries
o    e.g. stretching, foam roller, strapping
•    A sympathetic shoulder to cry on

I expect a lot of runners will develop stiffness in their back and neck. I have a set of exercises to combat this which I’ll go through at the race. If you’d like a head start just send me an email.

I work at St Leonards Physiotherapy and am available for pre-race screening and video running assessments if you have a niggling injury (or two). You’re welcome to ask me questions anytime. In the meantime enjoy your training and I look forward to seeing you in June.
