The standout performance of the morning came from from John Dutton who sizzled around the 10km course in 32:40 almost 5 minutes clear of the rest of the 10km field and the whole 5km field at half way. Nicola Fotheringham took line honours in the women's even in a very swift 43:33.

Other standout performances in the 10km came from Don Hampshire who took out the 70-79 age category in 1:19:47, and Michael Phillips winner of the 50-59 age category, breaking 40 minutes in a sterling time of 39:30.

In total the 6 front runners broke the magical 1 hour mark for 15km which was won by Simon Duffy in 55:39. The first in the women's event was Nikki Wynd who ran a super fast 1:02:49 to finish 11th overall.

Probably the standout performance would have to be Judy Wines who won the 70-79 age category in a fantastic tme of 1:38:33. Judy has been competing in our events for a number years and still running stronger than ever.

Leigh Pendergrast took out the men's 5km in 17:24, while Rebecca York finished the 1 lap course in just 19:27 to take out the women's event and finish a very creditable 5th overall.

In the age categories we could not miss Jack Rayner who sprinted around the 5km course in speedy 18:11 to finish second overall in front of the 100 strong 5km field.

We hope that you enjoyed the competition, the course and the pancakes as well. Congratulation to all those who medalled, ran PB's or simply completed the distance. We look forward to seeing you all at one of our upcoming events in the near future.
