Congratulations to everyone we competed at the Sri Chinmoy Williamstown Foreshore Run on the weekend. The morning brought with it perfect conditions for racing, running and walking along the picturesque waterfront course. The perfect year to close on another year of running.

The 10km event was taken out by Micheal Johnson (pictured below in the orange singlet) in a super fast 33:29. Interestingly Michael was running so well that he also ahead of the whole 5km field at the halfway mark. The women's event was taken out by Nicole Hart in a swift 40:28.

Another standout performance came from David Reide who tookout the men's 60-69 age category in a scintillating 40:40 to finish 20th overall.

Line honours in the 5km event was taken out by Jason Dalton in 17:43. The Women's 5km was won by Kate Watson in swift time of 20:31, eclipsing the rest of the field by over one minute.

In the junior category jason Pearce took out the under 15 category in a supurb time of 19:57 to finish 13th overall in a field of almost 200 runners.

Our next event in 2010 is the Sri Chinmoy Princes Park 10K on Sunday 10 January 2010, featuring the classic 5 and 10km distances. Online entry is now available.

For those of you who enjoy running at Williamstown, our premier event, The Sri Chinmoy Running & Fitness Festival is set for Sunday 30 May 2010. The event starts from the Williamstown Athletics Track with the marathon, half marathon, 10km and 4km distances on offer. Online entry is now available.
