The Course


All races start from Sadler Reserve, The Esplanade, Williamstown (Melways Ref 56B8) at 8AM.

The event is conducted along a flat 5km loop course utilising roads and bike paths along picturesque Williamstown Foreshore, with full runner services.

The 5km and 10km races complete 1 or 2 laps of the course respectively.

Competitors are required to complete the course in 80 minutes.

A full course briefing will be conducted at 7.55AM on race day.

On the Day

10 & 5km - $25 ($20 conc).

  • On the day entries accepted between 7AM and 7.45AM.
  • Concession rates are for U16 and 60+ entrants available only on race day.
  • Credit card and cheque payments can not be taken on race day.
  • All entry fees are inclusive of GST.

 

 

Services

  • The event will feature Chip Timing. All entrants are required to pick up their chip timing band on race morning.
  • Registration packs will be mailed out to all pre registered competitors who enter by Friday 3 December.
  • Later pre-entrants can pick up their race number from the registration marquee on race morning from 7AM.
  • Accurate AA measured traffic free course with markers every km
  • Drink stations every 2.5 km equipped with electrolyte and water
  • Our famous post race pancake breakfast
  • First aid services are provided by St Johns Ambulance.
  • Toilets are available at the start/finish area and at Siren's Cafe 100m south of the startline.
  • Extreme Weather & Safety Policy

Car Parking

  • Carparking is available along the Esplanade, Williamstown, both sides of Sadler Reserve and some side streets (Melways Ref 56B8).
  • Please note parking meters are active on Sunday's along The Espalande.

Award Categories

  • Medallions for the top 3 male & female competitors in the following age categories for each event.
    • Age U18 years
    • Age 18-39 years
    • Age 40-49 years
    • Age 50-59 years
    • Age 60-69 years
    • Age 70-79 years
    • Age 80+ years


Race History

 Williamstown has been a longtime favoured venue for Sri Chinmoy Races. Since 1995 we have conducted the very popular Sri Chinmoy Running & Fitness Festival annually in May featuring 6 races and attracting up to 1500 competitors.

The Sri Chinmoy Williamstown Foreshore Run, now in its 7th year, is fast becoming one of our most popular events. Compare your times to the current course records.

All pre-entered competitors will receive an email with links to the results, photographs and race report in the week following the event.
