Online entries have opened for the inaugural Sri Chinmoy 6- and 12-Hour Ski Challenge at Perisher Valley in the southern NSW skifields on Saturday 9 September 2006...

Although the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team is active in countries with a far greater skiing 'pedigree' such as Switzerland, Austria and the Nordic countries, it is perhaps apt that the Team's first public ski race will be held in Australia.

Both 6-Hour and 12-Hour races are open to solo skiers and teams of up to 6 members.

The course will be a loop of approximately 6 kms starting from the Nordic Shelter at Perisher Valley.   The 12-Hour race starts at 9 am with the 6-Hour event commencing at 3 pm: both races going into the night to conclude at 9 pm.
