Festival Entries Now Open

The Festival offers a range of events for runners including the 4km, 10km, half marathon and marathon distances. Last year the Festival attracted over 1200 participants and many more are anticipated in 2007. You can view comments from those who ran in 2006.

All races are conducted on the flat and fast roads and cycle paths along the picturesque shores of Hobsons Bay. The course promises suburb views and the opportunity for personnel best times. All entrants will finish with a final victory lap of the Williamstown Athletics Track.

Significant discounts are available to those who enter online before May 11, so be an earlybird and save.

Improvements to the marathon course in 2007 have been made with the inclusion of the Altona Wetlands as part of the course. This will mean that the marathon runners will now complete a 21 km out and back section from the Williamstown Athletics Track to the Altona Wetlands before completing 3 x 7km laps in Newport and finishing on the Williamstown Athletics Track. All courses are measured to Athletics Australia accreditation standards. Due to the changes to the marathon course the Teams Marathon event will not be offered this year.

We look forward to seeing you all in Williamstown in May.
