Sunday 16 September, Richmond, Melbourne
Congratulations to the many who ran, walked and jogged at the Sri Chinnmoy Yarra Boulevard Half Marathon on Sunday September 16. Results and photographs from the day are now available.
The race certainly brought out some fast times from a number of top runners and special congratulations to Nadelle Legge who won the 10km Run in a course record time of 36:17 (breaking the previuos record by 9 seconds) and along the way taking 4th place outright amongst the men. The event itself set its own course record with 354 competitors, our biggest field ever for the event.
It was very heartening for us all to see so many happy and smiling faces enjoying the opportunity to challenge themselves over the 5 distances on offer. We realise that many of you will be preparing for the Melbourne Marathon and Half marathon event in October and we wish you all the best in your training and preparations over the coming months.
Our next event is the Sri Chinmoy Maribyrnong River Run in Moonee Ponds on Sunday October 21. The event offers 12km,8km and 4km distances on a scenic and flat 4km circuit along the banks of the Maribyrnong River, culminating in our famous post race breakfast. Earlybird online entry is now available. We look forward to seeing you there.
Happy Running
