Congratulations to all 333 runners, joggers and walkers who completed the 5, 10 or 15km races at Princes Park this Easter.
It was a beautiful autumnal morning, ideal conditions for racing and so we were expecting fast times from the winners. What we were not expecting though was to cheer home Victoria Mitchell who lead home all the blokes in
a very respectable time of 34.40. This is the first time in the history of our Sri Chinmoy Races in Melbourne that a women has placed first overall in any event. Well done Victoria!
We would also like to make a special mention of Vern Gerlach, aged 86, who finished the 5km race in the very good time of 43.30 and to the many children who also completed 5km. I am sure that the easter eggs at the finish line tasted extra sweet.
