Congratulations to everyone who participated in our last race of the year, the Sri Chinmoy Williamstown Foreshore Run on 11 December. Blustery conditions greeted us all but thankfully the rain gods held off their blessings until well after the event.

The 10km Race was won by Solomon Hailemelekote in a sizzling 34:36 with the other podium positions going to Cameron Simon in 35:17 and Jeremy Thorne in 37:44.
In the women's race Debra Beveridge crept under the 40 minutes barrier with 39:59 with Suzanne Geard in 40.46 and Chrissie Baily in 41:12 finishing in second and third.
The standout agegroup performance came from Ernie Stewart who finished the 10km in 41:20 to take out the 60+ Mens category finished 29th overall. Special mention also Jayde Le Rossignal, Tanya Eldridge, Ashlea Milne and Emma Wilson who added great cheer to the day by running in their groovy sunglasses.
The 5km 1 lap race was won by Jason Dalton in 16:44 closely followed by Darren Henstridge in 17:02 and John Howely 17:30. Linehonours in the women's race went to Rebecca York in 20:18, with Laura York in 21.02 and Alex Reynolds in 22.18. Congratulations also to Dillon Rogan who completed the lap course in 18:09 to take out the U15 category and finish 6th overall.
