Twilight run in the City Botanical Gardens
About the event
We are excited to bring you our 2nd Botanical Gardens 10km, 5km & 2km kids run. This is a delightful venue with the views of the city, river and of course the gardens themselves. All feedback said that the course was great, and with all its switchbacks and turns it covers every part of the gardens.
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in all age groups.
A full course briefing will be held 5 mins before the start of the 10km race which will head of first.

2023 Feb 18thTwilight Botanic Gardens Run 18 Feb 2023
Thanks to all those who came and ran this event. I love the twilight runs, although next year we may start a little earlier. When Brisbane decides it's night-time then it is suddenly dark and we had a few tail enders struggling with the course. Hopefully this didn't dampen their experience.
We had a great turnout with a total of 139 entrants, mostly in the 10km, the 5km had a good number too, I think one our biggest 5km field, and with a small number of kids running the 2km in lightning speed and with amazing enthusiasm. Brisbane put on beautiful weather as usual, and although it was a very humid day, running into the later hours makes it a bit more comfortable.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came out and helped. The trickiness of this course requires good marshalls and course marking, and apart from a couple of arrows that were turned around, I think the runners found their way mostly. We will try to simplify the course for next year. Although this one is interesting, I think it is very complex for a lot of people. So if you were one of those who found it challenging, don't let that put you off next years run.
Thank you again everyone for making this a fun event.
